mexico in the World Cup!!

Hi there
I am over in Playa from the UK on the 25 June for a week - for the first time with a friend of mine - just wanting to catch some rays and enjoy some margaritas
However was also wondering whether id be able to catch any of the world cup coverage on telly while i am there - i hope so.
Will any of the hotels, bars be showing it on TV...?

Mexico, along with ALL Latin American countries, is WELL into football, so I don't think you'll have any problems catching the games.

We were in Playa last week at the Shangri-La and they had the Mexico vs France game on in the big TV room and then showed the following game as well.

Hi,

After the 25th all the games are played at 10.00 or at 14.00. Only the final is played at 13.00. All Mexian times ofcourse. And the games are aired everywhere. Siesta Fiesta is a good place to watch the games. It is located on 5th Avenue between 10th and 8th street.

not according to many of our members. The restaurant bar there (Fa) has been complained about more than any other place that I can recall.

Kerryb,

I am English so we will be showing all the England games in our bar and lounge on tenth street, between 5th Avenue and tenth Avenue. Hope to see you to cheer on the boys!
We also plan to show all Mexico games and Sweden too as the owners are Thed and Pia, and they are from there!

I used to watch the games there for the European Championship. They had a great big screen and a good atmosphere. Only not very comfortable chairs... But it has been 2 years ago so maybe things have changed and James is right.
And also next to it at Posada Freud because the owner is Dutch and we made it kind of our Holland house.
We are also planning to show all the games in the bar at our hotel. What better place to watch the Worldcup then on the beach with a beer or cocktail in your hand.
