Hello from Oklahoma
Tulsa to be exact. I'm planning a trip to Playa for my wife and I around the first part of December for 5 or 6 nights. This will be our first trip/time that both of us have been gone away from our kids (2 1/2 and 12 months).
I've been lurking for about 2 or 3 weeks now, and I am very excited. I don't know how I'm going to make it with so many days in between. This is such a great site. I just love all the trip reports. I feel like I know the place well yet this will be our first trip to Playa.
Before finding this forum, I was all about staying in an AI resort. Not so anymore. As of right now, I think we will be staying at the Playa Maya.
Just wanted to say hello and look forward to conversing further with everyone.

Great hotel choice, definitely.... strongest margarita, think you've got your hotel bars confused there Sctx... PF's are by far the strongest and the best.

I was affected in a better way than some others. The power was out at work all day....so we got the day off.

Welcome from another OKIE.
You’ll have a great time.
We’ve always done the AI thing in the past but this year we’re trying something different. The first part of our trip we’ll be at Hotel Riviera del Sol and then moving to RPR. Maybe next year we’ll go non - AI for the entire trip.

Two more from Tulsa here. Tulsa is part of the Sooner Nation though!!!
Stayed at Playa Maya last August and had a wonderful time - great hotel and wonderful service.
