users are "awaiting confirmation" until they follow the link in the confirmation email they are sent. until then, they have no rights to post. sometimes that confirmation email ends up in "bulk" or "spam" for some ISPs. if anyone ever needs one of those resent, just send me a PM, and check your inbox carefully.
my request to "corrupted account holding users" to create a new, same-named account is merely for continuity's sake. your new account name has zero to do with your old one until I run some database queries and set your old posts userid to your new userid. my request that you sign up with the same email address is for security sake, so that I may validate your identity. without that check, anyone could try to "become" one of the unfortunate corrupted users.[/quote]
Again, Thanks James for all of your help in uncorrupting the many corrupted Peeps - in more ways then one. Have followed your instructions and apparently am almost there BUT not whining much, any chance of restoring our file?
