Karen, do you see that cats are able to hunt black bears on trees? (this happened in New Jersey - found it in our local news).

Andrea: I just referred to that incident in the "RI Loves Cats" thread that Susie started. There's a photo of the cat in the site she provided but not one showing the bear like this one!! That's great! The story said the cat chased the bear up another tree when it came down from the first one!

Ya know.... now that I think about it..... I've never had a bear problem around my house. I guess Eli and Tiggy must be protecting me, ya think???

Yeah, the news over here said that after having chased the bear on TWO trees, the bear could escape only when Jack's (the cat) owner took Jack inside....

Gee....that's gotta be embarrassing to the teams that have a bear as a mascot. Whipped by a pussycat.
