Oiler Fan, You Did Canada Proud
Well its a saturday nite and I'm watching the Stanley Cup. I just watched the excitement and joy of Canadian Hockey. Its 8:30pm and I just watch Edmonton fan sing with heart and joy both our anthem and Canadian anthem. It was great.
Now I gotta get back to the game. ![]() |

They're keeping it interesting !!!!!!
Rissask, you KNOW that my allegiances make it difficult to even look at your current avatar, but, as a Canadian and a hockey fan, if it's gotta be somewhere, the Cup might as well be in Alberta.
GO OILERS!!! (Did I actually type that?) ![]() |

We did see the Guess Who at their first out of retirement show at our outdoor baseball stadium................it was amazing!! I think the fact that I had to pay the airfare portion of our April 2007 holiday plus a certain Father's Day gift had something to do with our decision to stay home and watch the game tomorrow!!

Yes. Yes Yes!! Peeps can't understand the undying devotion that we Winnipegers have to our beloved Jets.......we grew up with them. My Dad had season tickets from 1972 until the very last day........we all rallied and hoped that they could stay in Winnipeg. The reason it is so hard for people from Winnipeg to cheer for the Oilers is that they (Wayne Gretzky in his prime) always found a way to beat us and eliminate us from the playoffs....................we have moved on......we have the Moose (AHL) but try as they might, they really pale in comparison...............so there is the long winded version of yes..............I am a true hockey fan!!

Since I am watching ESPN SportsCenter right now, it would be nothing more than statement of Fact. Edmonton has tied it up. Sounds like a great series but I haven't seen any of it. My brother took my nephew to game 2.
It all comes down to game 7 in Carolina. |
