Rugs?

Hi Peeps,
Last year I bought a large tasteful rug from the store right next to Babes on 10th St. Unfortunately my treasured rug has mysteriously disappeared from my condo so I need to replace it. I went back to the store, but they only had two rugs in the same siz, which had garish patterns and colours.

Can anyone please tell me where I can find another rug stall in transportable distance of Playa?

Oh how disappointing for you. I wish I had a particular store in mind to point you too but, as is often the case here, most wonderful treasures are those you stumble apon accidentally. Do you have a property manager for you condo? Maybe he or she sould do some footwork for you and find another rug. I know that there is a store on fifth, on the left as you head toward Constituyentes, near Calle Corazon, that has a lot of imported goods. I think they may carry rugs. If not, maybe they can set you off in the right direction. I wish I could help more. Good luck.

I assume you mean those beautiful Zapoteco rugs? It's hard to find good ones, that's right, and a lot of it has to do with luck. Having said that, I have found a couple of very nice ones in a store on 5th close to Constituyentes. On the corner of 5th and Const there's a row of stores that spill out onto the area in front of them. The store furthest south is the one where I've found some nice ones before. Good luck!
