Hi to all

Hope to learn the ropes here. Going in about two weeks and plan to stay at the Grand Palladium. This is our 1st time going here.

Welcome. You'll love it! Stayed at the Palladium a few years back. Take good walking shoes, it's big! Great beach though and the food was OK, nothing spectacular but OK.
I'm more of an "in town" kind a guy. Been going for years.
All the info you need is right here-just ask-somebody has the answer!

It's approx. 14 miles or so (others here would know better)
I'm not much on food in any way. I eat to live, not the other way around. If I remember, there are 7 restaurants inc: Italian, Japanese, MX, a Steakhouse and I forget the rest. The big buffet poolside is really pretty good with a wide variety of everything. Beach side snackbar/ bar always hoppin. The grounds are spectualr, flamigos, peacocks, alligators and such. There's even an orchid path with names of the different variety. The basic rooms are really nice, we were on the Kantenah side (north side) about 1/2 way between lobby and beach. They bring in artistanos and street vendors a few nites but it's nothing like really going to Playa. I would go back if the price was right, (I got an Apple vacation "screw up deal" in July for $1,400.00- for 2 people, 7 nites R/T air ( 2 yrs ago)
Overall, a 7 1/2 out of 10. (my 2 bits)
