Can any local please check to see if this restaurant(Mama Luna,I think I have the spelling right) has a phone # and post it. It is on fifth for sure, near eighth, I think. Thanks.

Thanks for responding, but I'm pretty sure it is Mama Luna. I don't believe it is connected to a hotel. It looked to be fairly new. Very bright and light inside. I think it is right next door to a jewelry store. Any other help would be appreciated. Thanks again.

I've just returned from Playa. Spent 5 nights there. There is a restaurant called the Media Luna on Ave 5, near calle 8. It's Italian, I ate there. I've also checked my Playa guide that I got in Playa and there is no listing for Mama Luna.

Sorry for having been absent for this topic. I blame myself for not having monitored James' answer better . There IS a new cafe/restaurant on 5th called Mama Luna. It's right next to Posada San Juan and opposite La Lunata. I'll get their number next time I'm in town.

I'm going to Playa in December. Perhaps I can get you the number?
Just curious, you're not thinking of ordering take out? Did you loose something, and perhaps it's there? As an option call the hotel you stayed at, perhaps they can check for you or get the number to Mama Luna? Brian |

Thanks Brian for responding. If I can't get the number before Dec., I would appreciate your help when you get to Playa. I would like the number, so I can try and contact a local friend, who worked there this summer. I also want to thank you for making me smile with the, "take out" line. Recently, reasons to smile for me have been few and far between. I happened to be in NYC on Sept 11 and have been on edge since then.

OK, I have the scoop. Mama Luna doesn't have a phone. But I can help you contact your friend if you want. Send me a mail (use the Contact Us button at the bottom of the page) and I'll print it and give it to him/her (if he/she is still working there).
