I fell in love with shots during this last trip to Mexico.

Drinkies at resorts are kinda weak...so I had to force myself to partake of some shots to get my beach vibe going on !!!

Mexican Flags...my favorite (thank you Nerak) !

Need recipes for:
Coral Reef Shots - check out the pic....these were yummy !!!

Tequila Bombs (the fizzy/different color kind) -

...the kind you have to bang on the counter before you drink !!! (could not find a pic of that shot)

Oh yeah... the ol' "Hell, we're at AI. Let's do SHOTS!!!!" Boy, am I ever looking forward to my first Mexican Flag of 2006 at the end of July!! When we do an AI, I always request "Senor! With extra vitamins, por favor!" *wink* *wink* *wink* and then ask him to "float a little on top" too. They've always been happy to oblige.

I think the Tequila Slammers are merely tequila topped with Sprite (Mexican version I think is called "Crystal") and then slammed to fizz it up (and for effect). The colors I think are only a touch of the different colors liqueurs pershaps - grenadine for red, blue curacao for blue, creme de menthe for green, etc.)

That Coral Reef Shot looks waaaaay kewwwl!! You'll have to post the recipe for that one if ya find it.

As for doing the Mexican Flags at home, I could never get the hang of it. Mine always got mixed up, even though I did the spoon thing.

I can find the Coral Reef drink, but not shot.

Maybe it is the same thing, just in a small version.

I know the shot has Tequila and Blue Curacao in it....
I also think the shot has a little bit of Baileys (??) on the top to give it that white swirl effect. (I should have paid attention, but the bartender was so cute)

This is the drink -
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Citrus vodka (Smirnoff)
3/4 oz Tequila
1 oz Blue Curacao
1 oz Sour mix
Mixing instructions:
Pour vodka, tequila, and blue Curacao over ice and shake Slowly add sour mix until drink is a bright turquois. Remix and serve

What the heck is a sour mix ??

This does not sound like it could be the above shot...looks like I will have to do some trial and error research !!!

I wonder how they do the Mexican Flags Shots to keep them from mixing all together.

That Coral reef shot looks way cool and looks yummy too. What's in a Mexican flag? Never had one. The shot I liked the most was called donkey sperm. Who knows what that is? I'd like to make it at home...

I say we order up a couple of those coral reefs (not reefers) and let the shooting begin !!!

hey hey hey...I have always LOVED my drinkies....

Shots just take it to a "new level" for me !

Keep in mind we have drink thru Daiquiris huts in Louisiana...in case we get thirsty on our way to work.

And I did some work on on google and here is the Donkey recipe.....
(trust me...do not google donkey semen shots

)

Ingredients
1/2 shot Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum
1/4 shot Amaretto Almond Liqueur
1/4 shot Creme de Bananes

or
1/2 oz. Malibu Coconut Rum
2 oz. Sour Mix (there is that sour mix again

)
2 oz. Soda
Put in any order in shot glass, preferably Captain first.
