Hello from Oregon- Thank you!

I just wanted to extend my thanks to ALL the PEEPS out here for all the information they have provided for all of us (lurkers) & everyone else to help plan our vacations. My hubby and I celebrated our 10th anniversary on our 1st visit to PDC in January of 2005. We couldn't imagine being in a more perfect setting to celebrate. We fell in love with PDC during our 10 day stay. And have been completely obsessed with returning, (even before we left). Upon returning I started the web searches and found this FABULOUS site with any information you could possibly want about Playa and everything this wonderful paradise has to offer!
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH FOR THE WEBCAM!!!!!!
That IS my "happy place"! Need a smile? Go to the webcam ===
Also living vicariously through everyones trip reports & pictures is strangely satisfying. Atleast until we can post our own.

Unfortunately we will not be able to return until next year. But that gives us plenty of time to decide where to stay, where to eat, where to snorkel etc. or just get more excited!!!

Hope I didn't ramble too much for my feeble attemp to crawl out of my lurking status.

Thanks again everyone!!!!

Welcome!
Good to know that occasionally we get some good info out there in between ramblings and good-natured ribbing....

Thank you for the welcome!
So as an Oregonian you also understand the need for sunshine and beautiful beaches and warm tranquil waters and much more. It is just to balance our living in an equally beautiful state, but a whole different beauty of course.

Nice to have another NW'erner in the stable! Don't know if there's still room, but you might look up the Pacific NW Peep Meet. You'll meet some great peeps there.

Exactly. We do have beautiful beaches, but the water is colder than a well-diggers rear end, and when it is warm and sunny on the beach the wind is blowing 20+mph
Check out the PNW peep meet thread. Maybe you can make a showing. Dont worry Donny isnt gonna be able to make it, he's the only one you may have to worry about :p .

Thanks Donny! I wish we were able to go to the NW Peep meet. Already have plans. Work for both of us.

I hear you! I'm heading down to Cannon Beach for the weekend, and imagine I won't have to lather on the sunscreen like I do in Playa! Oh well, it'll be beautiful in a different sort of way.

Welcome, Playaluvers! "My name is Eric, and I'm a Playaholic!"

Yesterday was one of those great days on the Oregon coast(or South coast anyway). Not a breath of wind and 70 degrees all day. Today it's drizzle and overcast but no wind.
