Bars along the beach

Just curious. When my husband and I were walking from Grand Coco Beach resort into town we saw a couple of what looked like really cool beach bars, but no one there! I was just surprised because what better place to go to a bar then right on the beach. I don't remember the names of them, one had swings up by the bar area and another one was lite up pretty neat and had techo music playing. Do people go there just certain times of the week or after a certain hour?

Like any establishment some days are busy and others are not. Sounds like El Pirata may have been one of the places or possibly Paraiso beach club. Sometimes El Pirata can get hoppin in the evening.

We will be arriving at Grand Coco on Thursday. How is it looking? Are there lots of people? We were hoping to upgrade to a oceanview room if there was one available

The resort did get quite busy by Tuesday (6/13). A lot of Europeans were there vacationing. We were always able to find a lounge by the pool or on the beach. Never felt too crowded. Have a great time!!!
