Anyone know anything about Playacar Palace

Can anyone give me some reviews on Playacar Palace? How is the nightlife? Pro's and Con's would be helpful. Ages going are in their early 30's. Thanks!

By using the search feature in the horizontal toolbar above, you can find a few threads on the Playacar Palace.

Here are a few threads I found, the first one with pictures and a great review by hoffer:

Playacar Palace

We stayed at the Playacar Palace at the end of May. The resort was not at full capacity when we were there so it was very quiet much of time. The only time that the Luna Lounge was ever really busy, was the evenings that they had karaoke. The lobby bar would have some people out there, but usually cleared out around 10 every evening. The great thing about this resort is that right around the corner is 5th avenue. We would go walking down 5th every night and stop into some of the shops and bars along the way before heading back to the Luna Lounge for some martini's and mojitos.

Playacar Palace

We were at Playacar Palace a couple of weeks ago. It was a bit slow the first part of the week (nightlife-wise), but by the time we left it was pretty active until fairly late. I think it may be more active on the weekends as people are arriving. Of course, you can always go down 5th Ave to one of the bars. 5th Ave is literally just steps from Playacar Palace.

Overall, it's a beautiful place with a fantastic location.

Experienced my third visit to Mexico this past Jan/Feb and stayed at the Playacar Palace. It was 'fresh' and 'new' and looked great. The staff are amazing and extremely friendly. (even got a couple of email addresses to keep in touch!) I was there when they were taking their promotional video/photos for the palace website. It was interesting to watch, and they didn't interfere with the guests at all.
It's not a place for teenagers, it's quiet and low key like the Beach Palace 'was' before the storms. It's close to 5th Ave and great restaurants, shopping and bantering with shop owners. Plan on returning in Feb/March 2007 and can't wait to see my 'friends' again. Great place if you like to wander and walk the area. Nice neighbourhood close by with large condos, etc to check out. It's a great place to go if you just want to relax...and unwind.
