Call out the SUN GODS!!!!
Ok - enough is enough!! I'm leaving for PDC on Feb. 28th and I am reading about people cancelling their trips because of cool weather and clouds.....eeek!!!
I had a trip to Italy cancelled in Sept. (after 2 years of planning) because my husband was hospitalized. I can't bear the thought of PDC not being the warm, sunny place we planned for. So.......come on all you PDC fans - whether you are going or not .......let's all pray to the Sun Gods for a change in the weather!!! Enough is enough!! Freezing here in Boston at 5 degrees! |

Cool & cloudy
We just came home Jan11/02,our last week was cool & cloudy but there still is heat when the sun is out. The cooler weather is actually better if you want to explore the ruins & that kind of thing.
By the end of February it could be very warm. Lets face it,its better than 5 in Boston & 10 in Vancouver,BC. Do not let a few clouds discourage you!Its still a beautiful place & I hope to go back again soon! Think positive & ENJOY IT!.............Di 8) |

We were in PDC 11 - 18 Jan /03. Only had sun for 1 1/2 days. Others were warm but cloudy. Most people had jackets or sweaters on at night. Kinda disappointing for our one week away.
Still much better than the -30 when we got home. |

I think that the weather issue is one we can beat to death. Everyone wants hot sunny days for their vacation, especially if you are from places that have extreme cold. I would take a rainy, or cool day in a place like PDC a million times over, than putting up with our winters...
Remember folks...if it is a bit cool or rainy, then you have to enjoy the libations of the restaurants/bars, etc. a bit more, rather than the beach...it is tough I know, but can we endure?? Beats parkas and shovelling snow.... Dougie P.S. Our trip, leaving this weekend isn't looking great either, but I will enjoy it, I promise... 8) 8) |

Hey, I'm in PDC from january 17, and will leave on the 31. for now, we had only 2 bad days, I would say windy days and not bad days... Today is a little cloudy and it's the first day where we don't go to the beach or things like that. You should go in France for your holydays and see what bad weather is ! I think it's ok, and won't leave Playa for that

Wednesday January 29 low 80's almost entirely sunny, seas a bit calmer than they have been recently, a nice cooling and a bit of rain in the early evening. I understand that there had been an unusual stretch of cloudy, cold (relatively speaking) weather, but the trend I observed January 22-29 seems to be going tropical. But then again, who knows?
