Riu Palace Mexico - Apple Vacations ?
My party of 6 has a vaca booked with Apple to the Riu Palace Mexico next month
and I was wondering if anyone knows if they use the smaller vans for transport or the big buses? I was planning on taking a private van cause I'm impatient and don't want to have to wait for other people, especially not a whole bus worth. Anyone have experience with this?

When we went to the Riu Palace, we too used Apple.
They used nice big comfortable buses. I think they made 2 stops before entering Playacar and there were several people staying at the Riu Playacar, Yucatan, Tequila and Palace. I think from the time we boarded the bus at the airport until we were in the Riu Palace lobby was 50 minutes.... If we had used private transportation the time savings MIGHT have been a savings of 20 to 25 minutes. |

Apple Vacations uses both big busses and smaller vans. No way to know what you'll be riding in until you get there. Apple has offered private transfers for an additional $50 per person (yikes) for a while now but just began offering non stop transfers for an additional $20 per person - which is obviously more affordable than $50. But for 6 people Andrea, a non stop transfer with Apple would add up to $120. A completely private transfer would cost less than that.
