Hola from holanda!
Hello playa lovers!
My name is Laura, and i'm from holland. My husband and i come to playa almost every year and somethimes twice a year. We just got home from our last trip to playa and we can't wait to go back again!!! We came to playa for the first time about 7 years ago and immediately fell in love with the place. I hope to stay a litle up to date about everything that's happening in playa and meet some new people on the forum. |

I don't know anything about Holland other than my uncle went there about 30 years ago and brought my mom back a beautiful wooden windmill that played music. He said it was beautiful. playa and holland...
Welcome, Laura. I'm a relative newcomer to the site, maybe a year and a half or so, but I feel comfortable saying that you will have a good time always in Playa. Incidentally, my wife and I lived in Maastricht for almost six months and we both love The Netherlands, having been there several times. We are US citizens, but just bought a place in Playa and the international flavor of the town is wonderful. You will enjoy this site. We have always said that if we had to leave the USA, we would spend winters in Playa and summers in Maastricht.

To Loree;
I think it's in the spring, when the tulips bloom. We live in the uttermost south part of holland. Right next to the borders with belgium en germany. So we don't have tulips growing here in big fields. We usually buy them in the stores en put them in a vase  .Personaly i like the south better than other parts of holland. The nature is more beautiful over here, with hills and nice woods. When you go up to the north everything is flat. A lot of Cows and grass. (uhm...real grass...not for smoking  ) and above al...the weather is better here to!Some info: We have about 489 communities, The highest point is on the top of the Vaalserberg 322,20 m (30min drive from where we live) The lowest piont is Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel. The surface is 35.054 km2 And the access is 2261,8 km. It's not that big so with a little driving you should see a lot. Last edited by billies sister : 07-15-2006 at 07:42 AM. |

Yep, i know what you mean. We are still hoping to win the lotery some day so we can do the same...winters in playa, summers in holland. Dream on  .It's great here in the south but playa is better. Don't know how billy is doing. Don't know him. I tried to use Laura as my username, but it was allready taken. Normaly i always use mikjegger (wrong spelling i know, but that one was also taken on hotmail) but it always confuses people in thinking i'm a guy. On our last vacation to playa Tim Willing and his band tripple D where playing at Siësta fiësta and every night he made a little fun of me, calling me billy idols sister because of my cool blond spiky hair (as he called it). So thats how i got my name...  |

Hoi Laura,
Ik doe het maar even in het nederlands, want ik heb wat te vragen. Ik heb mij sinds kort aangemeld en heb met moeite 1 bericht geplaatst en dat gaat over Gran Bahia Principe het resort waar wij de 25e naartoe gaan. Het staat onder ''newbies''. Ik snap helemaal niet hoe dit forum verder in elkaar zit. Ook weet ik dus niet of iemand al gereageerd heeft op mijn berichtje. Zou jij mij aub willen helpen daarmee? Gr.Madelon |
