Funniest doll I've ever seen - Playa or elsewhere!!!

On our last trip, Kelli and I were shopping in a store with some nice Mexican crafts when my daughter found and TOTALLY fell in love with a little doll. It was a mama doll with a little baby doll. The mama doll had snaps on her hands, so she could hug her little baby. Then we noticed that the baby had a snap on her mouth. Look:

After a little mental cogitation, I figured out what the baby's mouth snap was for. Sure enough, after lifting up mama's blouse:

Is this great, or what?!?!? We just about DIED laughing...!!! My daughter spent the next several days carrying this doll around with the little baby doll hanging off mama's boob...

Oh my poor poor little girl...one day she'll just KILL StewartG over that photo!

But....isn't that doll AMAZING!?!?

You would NEVER find THAT in the States! (Now that's a TRUE Mexican souvenir)

re: doll

there is a cultural statement for you ... WV is wrangling over a breast feeding in public venues law right now and this ain't Scarsdale or Shaker Heights ... the funniest doll, IMHO, is dancing puppet Mexicano bandito with his twin Six-Guns blazing

Okay, Renee here [trans] -- I think the dancing puppets are Americans who get sooooo uptight over the issue of breast feeding in public (gosh, wonder just why the good Lord provided this supermarket, anyway?!!). Good analogy ...

I love it, StewartG.

It's a great idea......but, it would never fly in the states.

Guys, I can't remember where I found it. It was at one of the more upscale stores selling Mexican craftwork and art, and I think MAYBE it was between around 8th and 12th on 5th, but I can't even be sure of that.

Next week I'll try and find the store (I just promised to try to pick up another one of those dolls for a friend, anyway), and I'll post its location.

Isn't that think just great! I laugh every time I look at the pictures, and the doll actually lives in my house!

First of all, your daughter is absolutely adorable!

Second of all - that is hysterical! I might have to go on a quest to find a couple of them for a couple of friends of mine since I don't have children.
