underground parking in Playa

I am wondering if anybody thought about what would happen with Mamita beach and all the property around Tides after they have destroyed mangrove and will build an 260 car underground parking next to the beach. This is insaine! It is there any movement in Playa to stop this overdevelopmengt. We foreigners will suffer loosing our Playa we loved and invested in, since the tourist will go other places (Cuba in the not to distant future, for expample). But the people who will suffer the most will be the locals. There are no alternative work for them in Playa but tourism.
I have been trying to communicate with the Urban planning Division of the City, but I am not in Playa except for 3 weeks in the winter for now.
Would like to hear from someone and maybe we can cooperate.
