It's How Hot/

What with the heat doing it's thing here, can anyone beat 108.3 degrees with 19% humidity at 7:35 pm? Come on proove me right that this place has to be close to hell on earth. This is "set and sweat" weather. I tried to propose a "if it gets above 100 degrees, it is clothing optional"at our local grocery store this morning until I looked around t the people in line and realized that most of us are best left clothed.

It hit a confirmed 120 degrees last week - not here in the Hills but not that far away either. Humidity was something like 7 or 9 percent. It was 100 by 9 AM last week - and still 105 at 7PM. Been hot the last month. Hope it stays nice through the Rally and not cold and rainy......

Where IS here for you?

We had a couple spots hit 117 and 122 in the San Fernando Valley yesterday. According to my car thermometer, my town hit over 107. I know it's So Cal and I live in the "desert" but... Damn!

Boise, Idaho is happy to report that we were at 98F today. Earlier in the week, we were at 106-108 . UGH! We are lucky that we have AC.

There was a slight breeze today so the 96 was a little more comfortable than the 100 of the past two days. Watched the televised drag races from Seattle (about 50 miles away) and the raceway temps were 127-130 on the drag strip. We in the NW don't live with air conditioning so it's time to check into hotels, go to movies, go to the mall....anywhere where there's air conditioning.

Humidity 94%, temp. 55 °F / 13 °C
Of course, it has been raining almost everyday in the afternoons and you need to bring your umbrella everyday.

The humidex yesterday was over 40° C (approx 104°F). The temp was about 35° C. For us in the snowy tundra (or so everybody thinks) that's a tad warmish.

Hasn't this summer just been gorgeous though? I can't remember a July that has been so steadily hot and sunny, day after day.
Broke a few records yesterday, one town hit 37 C (98 F) and the humidity has been high too. Thank goodness for A/C.Good training for my Mexico trip next week.

Let's see...Sat. at 4:30p it was 107 at my house (30 miles south of San Fran.), 112 passing through downtown San Jose, and 108 at the bbq I went to. Last night at 11:00p it was still over 90 in my apt. after having the windows open and 2 fans running for about 9 hours - actually it was hotter - the thermostat was pegged all the way past 90, so maybe it was more like 95...needless to say I haven't been sleeping all that well...
