I am also planning a wedding in the Mayan Riviera for this fall, probably around September 2003. I would love to hear about other people's experiences or places that other people have investigated. I know that some hotels offer free weddings, but am not sure if I want to cookie-cutter thing. I'm wondering if there are other options.
