IB Paraiso Beach Standard room vs. Junior Suite

Hi,
This will be our third stay at the resort....5th time to Playa area. We normally stay in a standard room in building 35 or 36. I am considering upgrading to a junior suite with ocean view. After reading several reviews, it appears there is not a "true" junior suite with ocean view. Does anyone know if there are suites with ocean views here? Pictures would be helpful of a suite and the view.
Thanks!

On the Beach side of the resort - building 30 is all junior suites and faces the beach and ocean, but there are trees in the way and IMHO, they really can't sell this as a true "ocean view" room. Matter of fact, the "ocean view jr. suite" category will be done away with as of December 22, 2006. The rooms that will be available to book after that dates are "standard" and "jr. suite". Building 31 is also junior suites and does not face directly toward the beach and ocean and between the beach and building 31 are building 30 and the snack bar.

If you were to upgrade and would want only building 30, there is no guarantee that you'd be there for sure. You can request it, but still not guaranteed that's where you'd be assigned.

If you have the extra money to spend and are doing this for a bigger room that would be closer to the beach - might be a good idea. But if you're doing it just to get a great ocean view - might not be a good idea.

IBP junior suites

unless things have changed since last fall i would not book a junior suite on the beach side of IBP. first of all, if it is a standard junior suite, the room is almost identical to the standard room. and there was no view of the ocean on the beach side, it was blocked by vegitation. on the del mar side you did have a clear view of the ocean. i have some comparison views on my page below. go to the pics of IBP Del Mar 04, got to page three. you will see side views of the junior suites on the beach side and on the del mar side. any questions you can pm me.

The rooms are not true suites with a separate sleeping area. They are just a little bigger than the standard rooms.
