Snow toobin regatta anyone??

I noticed we (Min-ah-soooo-tans) are in second place on the "where do you plant your butt" thread. I also have noticed a lot of threads about the Texas toobin regatta. I say we Minnesnowtans start a snow toobin regatta!! What do y'all think???

Presumably, this is the kind of foolishness you're suggesting?

Could be a fun idea. You got a hill? Not that you can expect much representation from those wimpy "Snow? What's snow?" Texans and other southerners, but some of us more hardy (or is that foolhardy) Northern types might be interested in something next winter. Unless, of course, that we're lucky enough to be escaping the wintery blasts by hiding out somewhere down south - like Playa.

Damned straight...and you don't have to look very far for ice to put on the wound. But "BUTTS UP!" is still the way to go.

Brenda did it last year in New Mexico...loved it..but dragging the tube uphill at that altitude was very hard on her breathing. Do the have places that have "tube lifts"? sorta like a ski lift?

There are plenty of hills in MN where you plant your butt on the tube and let the rope pull you back to the top, after you have enjoyed a nice hot chocolate with a splash of Rumple Minze!!

Only problem I see with snow toobin is falling off this tube could lay me up for a week at my age...I better take out some extra insurance before I go!!

I am sure I dont have the proper clothing..can I borrow a few items..... some mittens, a hat, scarf, heavy down jacket with hood, ski pants, snow boots, thermal socks ??? (I will buy my own thermal undies !!! )
