You will most certainly find no value in anything that you will not read [/quote]One does not have to read Ms. Coulter's books to understand her views. Her many appearance in the media to promote her books (herself?) are hard to miss. I don't care for the extremes of either side of the political spectrum and I especially dislike uncivil or rude people. Ms Coulter, in my opinion matches all those descriptions. I will defend her right to act like a horse's patootie but won't waste time or money to catch her act. |

That where it's volatile for me. That Mel's statements reveal someone taking no responsibility for his own actions; if he was stopped, it wasn't because he was drunk -- it was because some Jew-cop had it out for him. Nice! I respect Mel's work, for taking chances as an actor, director and producer. But I have always been uncomfortable with that side of his persona that is a compulsive practical joker -- some of them have sounded flat out nasty. He has some issues to work out, and I hope substance abuse is enough. I think the tinkering under his hood would have to go a lot deeper to make a real difference in him. Chances are we will learn that it was his wife that forced him into rehab. Back when he first made it big, Mel's drinking was apparently a huge source of friction between them. |

FYI: from the AP news:
</SPAN> LOS ANGELES -- Mel Gibson said Tuesday he is not a bigot and he apologized to "everyone in the Jewish community for the vitriolic and harmful words" he used when he was arrested for investigation of drunken driving.<O:p</O:p "Hatred of any kind goes against my faith," he said in a statement released through publicist Alan Nierob."I'm not just asking for forgiveness," Gibson said. "I would like to take it one step further, and meet with leaders in the Jewish community, with whom I can have a one-on-one discussion to discern the appropriate path for healing." It was the second apology the 50-year-old Academy Award winner has issued through Nierob since his Friday arrest. Gibson said he's "in the process of understanding where those vicious words came from during that drunken display" and hopes members of the Jewish community, "whom I have personally offended," will help him in his recovery efforts. "There is no excuse, nor should there be any tolerance, for anyone who thinks or expresses any kind of anti-Semitic remark," Gibson said. "But please know from my heart that I am not an anti-Semite. I am not a bigot. Hatred of any kind goes against my faith." "We are glad that Mel Gibson has finally owned up to the fact that he made anti-Semitic remarks, and his apology sounds sincere. We welcome his efforts to repair the damage he has caused," said Abraham H. Foxman, national director of the Anti-Defamation League. "Once he completes his rehabilitation for alcohol abuse, we will be ready and willing to help him with his second rehabilitation to combat this disease of prejudice." "I welcome his words. And I hope and pray that they are sincere and heartfelt," but Gibson needs to show "tangible actions" of repentance, said Rabbi Mark S. Diamond of the 280-member Board of Rabbis of Southern California. "I don't want to minimize for a moment the hurt and anger, the anguish, his words have created in our community," he said. Gibson acknowledged "there will be many in that community who will want nothing to do with me, and that would be understandable. But I pray that that door is not forever closed."<O:p</O:p <O:p</O:p |

There seems to be a move to paint all conservatives as being Coulterites, which works only in the circle jerk that is called the mainstream media. She does not represent me, but does hit a home run every so often. I want to thank those whiney liberals who turned me onto her.

Seems like public figures frequently enter rehab after being busted doing something embarrassing to take the light off it and try to get sympathy. However, not being the woman that it was said to, sugar tits is pretty funny. Where did he come up with that? |

"I don't think I want to see any more Mel Gibson movies," Barbara Walters said Monday on the ABC talk show "The View." ABC is owned by Disney, which was in the early stages of planning the marketing for Gibson's next film "Apocalypto."
First BaBa WaWa is bailing on Mel, than I read this Sugar tits remark. The only way I will get back on the Mel band wagon is if he gos on The View, apologize to the Jewish community and call BaBa "Sugar tits"

Her looks are way overrated, IMHO. She is, by no means, lacking in intelligence. The funny thing is that she is doing the same thing to liberals as Michael Moore did to the right. It is like she stole his playbook. And, it is working, to boot. I would like to see the two of them debate, with the loser having to retire from public view.

Interesting comparing Coulter and Moore. Opposite ends of the political spectrum but similar in tactics. I was really upset by Moore's filmed confrontation with Charelton Heston . To gain access to Heston's home under less than honest circumstances and then to ask this elderly man to accept blame for the Columbine shootings (Heston being then Prez of the NRA) was pretty low. Exactly the kind of behavior we should all condem, regardless of left or right. The same for Coulter and her attacks on the 9-11 widows. Despicable.
BTW I didn't say Coulter was hot. I said she was prettier than a Chimpanzie. However I am willing to listen to arguments to the contrary.
