We are heading down there from Houston this saturday. I'm hoping this storm goes north! Anyone down there with any thoughts on this storm?

It's forecasted to head near Florida by the weekend, but that's still several days out and the winds will dictate....keep an eye on it!

Will also be coming in to Playa this weekend Sunday. My concern is where this storm will head after projected landings in Florida. Say the warm gulf coast? Hate to be down there and come home to Texas with storm damages

i know what you mean. I'm hoping it goes north. We fly back to houston and it floods there. I read some report that it may weaken because there's some lows it has to cross.... whatever that means! Hopefully it's true.
It would be nice if it goes north off the East coast! Poor Gulf can sure use a break, after last year!

The wife & I will be flying out Saturday morning as well. Let's just all agree that no storm will ruin our vacation!

It's really not headed in the right direction to have any kind of major effect on the Yucatan. Not that storms can't change their minds - but it just doesn't seem like it's headed anywhere near Playa.

I laugh in the face of tropical storms.

Anyway, this will go North of Cuba, we'll probably get just get some wind and rain for a bit as he spins by.
