Ok Steve you win.

Just emailed Playa Maya, trying to book a room for Jan.27-Feb6. Looked at many places and thought, WHY!!!! We were so satisfied at the Playa Maya two years ago, so if there is room we will be back. We have been at all inclusives, and it is a great way to go for the first time to Mexico, but we really don't like to feed the fish at eleven and jump in the pool to exercise at ten, etc. LOL

I agree. It's much better at the Playa Maya. There, they make you exercise at 6:30 and then feed YOU to the fish around 9. It helps with room turnover.

Check out my current avatar. I'm about to lick the face of a Houston commie who I'd just met 10 minutes prior and I can't even blame it on alcohol (I think I'd had one drink a that point).

(Glad I could make you smile, Kaki!!!)

Playa Maya

We just returned from our first time visit to Playa and stayed at the Playa Maya. We won't have it any other way!! We loved it..My kids loved it and we personally can not fathom staying at an All Inclusive after our lovely stay at Playa Maya. We really enjoyed talking to the receptionist Maite as well. Everyone was so friendly and the rooms very clean and smelled very fresh!! We hope to return in the near future!!

May bet is that you were in one of our superior balcony rooms with 2 double beds, right? In which case I'm afraid I didn't meet you over your long weekend stay.

Anyway, thanks for your comments!

My apologies, Steve. I'll make a point of not joking around in future threads in which Playa Maya is the topic.

Yes, because Mr. Ryberg is the king of keeping threads on topic.

Come on Karen, how can you alter a thread giving Steve free unsolicited advertising? He never gets that on here

I'd prefer a more entertaining title, actually, in this regard. Duke of Distraction? Ambassador of Asides? I think ya gotta have that alliteration to make it work, somehow...

At the risk of once again steering this thread away from free advertising for Steve, only one of those is alliteration, the other is assonance, but I'm WAY to far away from high school to remember which is which

Wikipedia's entries for alliteration and assonance.

For what they may be worth!
