Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach/Riviera Maya new info
Thought I would share some info. I emailed the Sirenis resort in MX and got a very prompt reply in one day here is what it said:
1. Is there an animation team in the day for activities? Yes we have a day activities animation team 2. Will there be nightly shows? Yes, we will have nightly shows with different performances 3. Will there be ice cream available in the day and night? No, icecreams will be available only during lunch and dinner Softserve? No (sorry) 4. Is the beach rocky or is there some sandy areas to go in the water? Both thatīs why our beach is really beatiful 5. Is there a difference in rooms or location between the Mayan Beach and the Riviera Maya options? Only the location, Riviera Maya is a little closer to beach than Maya Beach |

Apparently there isn't a large amount of official info about this resort. If I understand Shammy correctly, the Apple official info didn't mention a "lazy river" type pool, but I had read it on several forums. An email I received directly from the resort stated that there was a "lazy river" pool at the this resort. I guess I will believe it 100% when I see it on an advertisement for the property or Shammy posts info about it when info becomes available to her.

I would like to hear more. We are going to stay at the Grand Sunset Princess, the Grand sirenis was our first choice, but not available for one of the days early in the week. I am thinking of booking the last two days of our vacation at the Grand Sirenis, but not sure if it is worth moving. I have been to the Akumal area and really enjoyed the snorkeling.

yes is a lazy river and it is great! They have lots of tubes and staff there to help you get on and off a tube. There also is ice cream soft and hard! They have a soft ice cream machine at the pool restaurant on the riviera side ( it's yummy!!!!) chocolate, vanilla and mixed. They also have a ice cream parlor on the mayan beach side right beside the restaurant. They have at least 10 different flavors, also very yummy! It was open all day tillaround 5pm i think and then they have ice cream in the buffets for lunch and dinner. It's hard ice cream ( kinda soft with the heat in the restaurant). NOt as many flavors but you usually have atleast 6.
I have to agre with the other resoponses for the hotel you recieved. If you have any other Q's just ask away! I was there for 2 weeks in Jan. hubby, myself and our 14 month old. HTH |
