Ok, so how often do you all go to Playa anyway??!!
So, I've spent pretty much the entire day here reading and reading and... well you get the picture. I keep reading posts like... I was there last month, and going back next month, then going back again at Christmas, etc., etc.
So, how often do you all go, how do you afford it, how do you get all that vacation time to go so often, etc., etc.??? Inquiring minds want to know

I've been there 4 times in the last year...about 2 or so months worth, and I live in northern California - we just go for longer periods of time. Used to go about twice a year, but now...thinking moving there is the best bet!!!
I just got back last week and I already miss being there.... Gotta wait for my passport to get here though....

We have been going since the early 90's. It's cheaper than going to Florida or any where else in the states with a good beach. I go 2-3 time a year and hubby goes about once a year. I am ready to find some new spots to travel to now that we have more freedom to travel farther. (had old sick parents) Plus we don't don't spend alot on buying drinks..that can really break the bank... we buy our own bottles and only drink at night and not into getting plastered.
Alot of people on the board have only been once or never at all. |

We go to Playa once a year and stay for two weeks. Last year I was there for six weeks. We would like to go more often but airfare from Boise usually is around 1000 bucks for the both of us. Also, there is the issue of trying to get time off at the same time. I could go more often but Dave would have a fit.

I try to go 2 a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. I just completed my 9th trip this past July. Living in Minneapolis I just try to book my airfare through MLT and then book my hotel usually cheap digs on my own (I stayed at Don Emiliones $54usd a night last month). But this coming January I'm defecting slightly, 5 friends and I are chartering a sailboat from St. Martin and cruising through the islands. So I guess I'll hopfully be able to visit Playa the next coming summer
