Hey I'm going to playa and staying at the reef playcar from aug 19th - 27th. if anyone is going around the same time as i am i would love to meet up and have some fun. I'm 24, F. We can meet up anywhere that's nice and easy to find as it is my first time to playa.

Try editing your title to say
PeepMeet Between Aug. 19th-27th or maybe a specific date.
Build it and they will come.

Strategies to Meet Peeps & Have Fun Solo

Not all users read every post. It pays to have a thread title that nails it. You can ask a Moderator to change it if you wish - or start a new one. McKinzie's title is a good one.

Or, Who's in Playa Aug 19 - 27? might get responses from some folks who don't like to commit to Peep Meets.

You can always edit your own posting without Moderator assistance. So try changing the text in post #1. Put it right up front.

Post info about what you like to do. Ask others to post their interests in other events. Poll for interest in an activity - one of the Playa.Info custom tours; a trip on the Fat Cat; girls night (these seem to happen frequently with several of the locals - ask to join one)

Beyond that, here's an advanced users tip that usually gets a high percentage response. . .

Click on Calendar in the blue bar above.

You can see several peeps are scheduled to be there during your stay.
Post details of your upcoming stay.

Click on each peep's entry to see more details about their stay.

You can then click on each peep's user name and select "Send a Private Message". Tell them your story and ask them personally if they are up for something fun. You can become pen pals before your stay.

With just a little effort you will have lots to do and maybe some new freinds.

Sadly we arrive the day you leave. That will be us waving at you as we pass on the road to the airport. You will probably be exhausted / asleep from your great time in Playa.

Off topic, but you have me curious. With your signature of "stuck in bulldog land", just curious where "you would rather be" (besides Playa). BTW, NOT a Georgia Bulldog fan here either.

Apologies to StarLove and I promise I won't keep it off topic.

On my wish list to visit: PDC, Key West, Tulum, Ireland, Romania and Australia.

I have a favorite hot springs soaking place that used to be called "The Well" that is about an hour drive south of Colorado Springs. During late fall and early spring when the air is chilly, OMG is it incredible.

Southern California on the edge of the desert for sentimental reasons: I used to be a desert rat in the little town of Beaumont. I don't like the grain of CA beaches however.

The trip reports from the PDC and Tulum makes it sound like a great environment without being trapped by "the package deal". So I think I would choose to accept the mission.

We're heading to Playa from 8/22-8/30...and we're hoping to meet up with our Playa Peeps while we're there. (Yep, you're a Playa Peep now starlove, and we hope we get a chance to meet you while we're there!)

Good for you for keeping your vacation plans even though the boyfriend took a hike. You're going to have a great time.

You bring up a good point I forgot. Identification of fellow peeps during your wanderings around Playa.

If it is not too late, order one of Nerak's bead necklaces. Look in the signature line of one of Nerak's postings for more info. Many peeps wear these as (not so) secret signals of their membership in the tribe of Playa Peeps.

When you spot someone wearing the ID necklace or bracelet you are encouraged to make contact.
