My thoughts exactly. I'm still not sure where he came from. Especially since his younger sis is 5'2" and maybe 100 lbs.
But I always feel safe when he's around!

Rita walked my sister home from El Pirata to Playa Maya late one night, then she walked back by herself....but I couldn't even imaging anyone trying to mess with Rita!!

When I was there in April, I walked the beach one night by myself and felt very safe.
There were a few couples on the beach and I never felt alone or scared.
I am more afraid to walk the streets in Pittsburgh than in Playa.

Last Sept we walked from Royal Porto down the beach to the fire show several times and never had any problems.
I probably would'nt suggest walking alone because most people could quite possibly have a problem late at night in their home town.

Must be a Grandparent thing. When I moved to Playa 4 years ago my Grandmother didn't want me to go. She was convinced I was going to get into trouble with the corrupt Mexican police and then there's all those banditos running around. Yes, she really did think I would get hurt by banditos

There are many, many neighborhoods here in Albany where I make sure my car doors are locked when driving through. And that is in the daytime. Common Sense people is the key any where you travel or live.

I've worn a size 14 since I was 14. Talk about a pain in the @$$ finding shoes. Sale? What's a sale? They had to kill that second cow to make my shoes (no discounts for me).

It is a pain in the butt, isn't it? Seems to be getting a little better, though. Or maybe it's because I no longer have to take him shopping, so I just don't know.

As well as just 40 miles South of Albany in my small town of Saugerties...I wouldn't leave my car unlocked in certain spots either and there's a little 'harlem' type of area in a town near us that's down right scary at night AND in the day!
