Or you can try taking the left street to the side of Mayan Paradise hotel and when you reach 15th avenue you have to see it right across the street.
Hope you find it next time, I will be for sure in the next Playa edition of the cancunmap.com in mapchick´s map I already sent her the info.
THANKS, Claudia and JAH- With these detailed directions= we will surely find it this time! We'll let you know! Thanks so much!!

A little off topic... but what does "bis" mean in reference to a street address?

Bis and Colosio

I have wondered the same thing. And what is the "colosio" that you locals often refer to?

In the case of a street, i.e. 10bis, I generally consider it to mean Street 10 1/2 or Street 10b.

Bis in Spanish also has other conotations, as in bisabuelo. Abuelo=Grandfather. Bisabulelo=Greatgrandfather.

In the theater it can refer to an encore.

Colosio is a colonia (suburb) on the north end of Playa del Carmen. It is one of several colonias

"Bis" means when something has been repited, in Playa del Carmen you will find two streets with the same number/name, i.e, 10 st, 10bis st, 8 st, 8bis st.

correct address

Thank you all for the corrections, I was a bit confused with the 10 bis myself, although I used to live on a 16bis street 5 years ago, so the owner is Javier I wrote it wrong on the first post and it has been edited, it was allright on the second one, and the correct address is like Jah said
Avenida 15 with 10bis behind Mayan Paradise hotel, close to Plaza Pelicano and the 28 de Julio Plaza, red tables and chairs and the best burritos in town! I will probably go for a big fish taco tonight!

oh hell yeah!

M. and I went to Los Burritos del Gordo last night for takeout burritos. We both had the "El Mas Gordo" burrito, which is carne asada, rice, beans, crema, avocado, and cheese. These cost 45 pesos each.

They were ready to go in 5 minutes and came with pico de gallo and habanero salsa. The owner, Javier, was there, and he was friendly, engaging, accommodating, and downright pleasant to be around. They are on a busy-ish street, but they have music playing and the dining area is a clean, well-lighted place.

When we got home, M. took one bite and said, "Oh, hell yeah!" as he has really missed his burrito addiction. We have a new fast food spot. Yippee!
