We drove past this burrito place the other night and saw forum member Barba eating there! So, Barba, did you like it?

Yes, some peeps finally made it there on Saturday night! Barba( Barb), Riviera Maya Ar (Jim- Penny is in the states), Renee Campestre (Renee & Jose), and us (Kittie & Randy).

Wow! It was delicious! Jim and I enjoyed the fish tacos and Randy, Renee,
and Barb had that huge burrito that you had- Heather. Jose had carne asada tacos and after eating three, he ordered two more! I am a huge fish taco fan and his are just fantastic. priced at 13 pesos- which is comparable to others in town- his are not fried but pan grilled in olive oil. I was starving and I had 4!

Javier was a wonderful host and we enjoyed getting to know him.
Randy and Barb swapped California stories with him. He told us that he spent alot of time doing market research before he opened and wanted to do something different. He has the success of two previous restaurants in California to glean from. We all agreed that he has succeeded!!

His hours are 3:30 PM until 1 AM Monday through Saturday. We realized that the many times we were looking for it without any luck was because we were going too early. We got there about 7 PM and he was doing a great business.

Add this to your must go list of reasonable, great, Playa restaurants!!

I just wanted to give a bump up for Javier and his great new restaurant! He is remarkable because he remembers names so well and is genuinely happy to see you and appreciates your business.
We've been back several times since my last post and the friends we just took there really enjoyed it! They tried the traditional burrito and it was delicious. My favorite item continues to be the fish tacos.
Javier is working hard to make it here in Playa- so please stop by and make a new friend! He is new here, too, and you locals know how hard it is to get settled in- we think he could really use some encouragement and new friends!! Let's do our best to keep him here!

We know you will enjoy it! It is great food and a very reasonable price! The fish tacos are only 13 pesos each so I can afford to get FOUR!!! Tell Javier Kittie and Randy say hi!
