when the constitution was written, Our forefathers had no clue about the future of terrorism, wiretapping, etc. So the constitution is not perfect..I love it too, but that's why we have amendments.

Great Britain has much better security than the Us because they do what they need to do to stop terrorism. They will stop someone carrying a backpack and search it.

No, because the ultimate judicial determination was that slaves were NOT property. The only way the U.S. would have been responsible for repayment is if there had been a taking of property. What happened with slaves is that they were (properly!) reclassified from property to humans.
