1. What animal has no wings, but yet will fly?
2. Almost everyone sees me without noticing me, for what is beyond is what he or she seeks. What am I? 3. A psychologist goes to a village in Africa and decides to compare foot size to intelligence. He notes that in general, as foot size increases, so does intelligence. How can this be? 4. I am large as a castle, yet lighter than air. 100 men and their horses cannot move me. What am I? 5. Follow these instructions : Take one full cup of coffee and drink 1/6 of it. Replace what you drank with milk. Now, drink 1/3 of the coffee/milk mixture. Again, replace what you drank with more milk. Now, drink 1/2 of what is in the cup. Once again, replace what you drank with milk. Now drink the entire cup of mixed coffee/milk. The questions are: Have you had more milk or more coffee? How much of each have you had? 6. It goes up, but at the same time goes down. Up toward the sky, and down toward the ground. It's present tense and past tense too, come for a ride, just me and you. What is it? 7. What has one foot on each side and one in the middle? 8. You have three containers. One has only red marbles, one has only blue marbles and the third has an equal number of red and blue marbles. The labels on the containers have intentionally been switched so that each container is now marked incorrectly. Your job is to re-label the containers correctly. Of course you could just look in the containers to find out which labels match, but can you do it without looking into each container? Reach into any one of the containers and select one marble. Can you now correctly label all three containers? If not, select a second marble from any container. What is the fewest number of marbles you need to inspect in order to correctly label each container? 9. What is a Mexican weather report? (Is this a weather question??) 10. In what year did Christmas Day and New Year's Day fall in the same year? 11. When I left, I didn't know where I was going; when I got there, I didn't know where I was; when I returned, I didn't know where I had been. Who was I? 12. I killed one fourth of mankind. Who was I? 13. There was a man who was born before his father, killed his mother, and married his sister. Yet, there was nothing wrong with what he had done. Why? 14. I'm not an airplane, but I can fly through the sky. I'm not a lake, but I'm full of water. What am I? 15. Dead on the field lie ten soldiers in white, felled by three eyes, black as night. What happened?

Flying squrriel, jumping spiders, Superman. 2. Almost everyone sees me without noticing me, for what is beyond is what he or she seeks. What am I? The light. 3. A psychologist goes to a village in Africa and decides to compare foot size to intelligence. He notes that in general, as foot size increases, so does intelligence. How can this be? He measured children, teens and adults, so the intelligence and foot size increased acordingly. 4. I am large as a castle, yet lighter than air. 100 men and their horses cannot move me. What am I? The Shadow 5. You drank the same amount of each. You started with one cup of coffe and never added any afterwards. For milk, you added 1/6 + 2/6 + 3/6 = 6/6 = 1 cup. 7. What has one foot on each side and one in the middle? A tripod 9. What is a Mexican weather report? (Is this a weather question??) 10. In what year did Christmas Day and New Year's Day fall in the same year? Every year after the Gregorian calendar was instaurated. 11. When I left, I didn't know where I was going; when I got there, I didn't know where I was; when I returned, I didn't know where I had been. Who was I? A guy with Alztheimer. 12. I killed one fourth of mankind. Who was I? A flea 14. I'm not an airplane, but I can fly through the sky. I'm not a lake, but I'm full of water. What am I? A Geiser |

The Official Answers
1. A caterpillar has no wings, but once it has matured into a butterfly, it will be able to fly 2. A window 3. He is measuring everyone's feet, including the feet of the very small children. So the statistics will show that larger feet belong to the smarter people, the adults. 4. The castle's shadow. 5. You have had the same amount of milk as you have had coffee. The cup originally held a cup of coffee (one-sixth plus one-third plus one-half), and you have poured in the same amount of milk 6. A See-Saw. 7. A yardstick 8. You would only need to take out one marble because we know that all of the labels are incorrect. So you pull one marble out of the container labeled "mixed." If red comes out, you know that has to be the all-red container, so you put the red label on it. The container labeled "Blue" must then be labeled "mixed" because you know it is also labeled incorrectly, and therefore can't be blue. You would label the last container blue because that is the only color/container combo left. Of course, if the first marble you pulled out from the container labeled "mixed" is blue marble, then you solve the problem in the same general way. 9. Chilli today, hot tamale. (Sorry...old, tired, and bad, but that's me...old, tired, and bad.) 10. It happens every year 11. Christopher Columbus - when he discovered the Americas 12. Cain (who killed Abel). 13. His father was in front of him when he was born, therefore he was born before him. His mother died while giving birth to him. Finally, he grew up to be a minister and officiated at his sister's wedding. 14. A cloud 15. A strike was thrown in 10 pin bowling. |
