Well, so much for all my science projects in elementary school. We were taught wrong!
Now what are kids going to put in their shoebox diaramas of the planets?

Yeah!!! This is an example of sizeism. Pluto is too small to be a planet?! UGH! Which planet will be next?
Next, they will be wanting to change this little guy's name. I will really be pissed.

Read 'em and weep, Plutonians!

Quote:
Poor Pluto not even the largest dwarf planet

• Mass of dwarf planet Eris is 27 percent more than Pluto
• Professor: Pluto and Eris are twins -- except Eris is slightly pudgier
• Pluto was demoted last year by the International Astronomical Union

"This is sort of Pluto's last stand," joked Emily L. Schaller of California Institute of Technology, co-author of a report in Thursday's issue of the journal Science.

"I hope if dogs ever take over the world, and they're choosing a king, that they don't just base their selection strictly on size, because I bet there's a few Chihuahuas out there with some really good ideas."
