New to Playa Del Carmen . . . Hola!!

My husband and I are heading to Playa Del Carmen for the first time for 2 weeks in November, and this forum has been a wealth of information. I just can't wait to get on it every day and see what is new. I also like to get on the web cam and sit and watch it and dream that we are there . . . (every now and then I will catch my husband doing the same thing!) We have been going to Puerto Vallarta almost every year for the last 10 years and I wanted to try some place new in Mexico. It took quite a lot of convincing for my husband to go, (he wanted to head back to PV), but when I made the reservations (and paid) back in January, he didn't have much choice. I can't wait to see the beaches and do some snorkeling, horseback riding, jungle tours, etc.

Welcome to the board. I am 100% sure that Playa will become your new fav, your husband wont ever thing of PV again. I do have to admit PV has a special spot in my heart as it was my first Mexico visit in the early 80's and I have been 4x........ till I found PDC that is! The two of you will love it.

I have been to Playa the past 2 winters .. both trips, we found it was really fun to get out of PLaya and do something different .. Year 1, with my 16 year old .. we went on the 'Tulum and Beyond' tour through this site .. as well as spent a day snorkeling at Akumel and Yal kul (?) lagoon.
Year 2, with my college daughter and friends, we went to the beach in Tulum (el Paraiso beach club) 2 days, and also went on the full day 'Sea to Ce note' tour through this site.

You're learned the trick to taking care of husbands. My wife handles things the same way with me. She just never lets me know what's happening until its a foregone conclusion!!!
