Nov 5th Peep Meet & School Supplies Drive

Sunday. Nov 5th. 8pm. DJ's Bar.
BE THERE

Lets do a MASSIVE School Supply DRIVE for the little ones of Playa and the area.

From what I understand they really need pencils, paper, color crayons, colored pencils, craft supplies, books (Spanish and English), books, book bags, etc.

I'll contact Nerak, Michele and SaharB and we can get more specifics on items needed.

Its right before Christmas and would'nt it be wonderful to make an impact on those glorious little faces??

LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN!

On that note, Andiline will be there with a little Angel box for donations for DJ (see other posts for his seriuos accident and massive injuries).
Lets open our hearts to others who need us now more then EVER.

Hi Debbie, unfortunately, we'll miss this Peep Meet! We're around from 10-31 to 11-14, but we're going to Isla Mujeres for the 5th and 6th. We'll see you on the 8th for the Formula1 and at the Peep Meet on the 10th!!

Seems like we're gonna have a great turnout for the Peep Meet on Nov5th, Beer Bucket.

Maybe we'll have a huge box of school supplies for SarahB to come and pick up.

By the way.. to all you veteran Peeps... what is the protocol for the 'hostess' of this meet?

I have no idea. Nametags, etc? Pls fill me in.

Debbie, I don't think there is a protocol... I am not planning on anything special so far. But if I do I will let you know what....

Btw. told my friend Monika about the collection of stuff for children and she said she would bring some too. Told the other germans as well but not I don't know whether they will contribute too.

Thanks Andrea. I guess I will bring nametags and a great big smile (oh, a camera to document all the Peep Fun !!) I've been accumulating more school supplies for the kids. I think I will have it as a carry on tote. Any other items I will swing by Walmart in Playa and get while I am there (and more cash $$$ to put in the Angel Box for DJ).

I am sooo jazzed about this trip.

Debbie, already did the shopping this morning. I can do it only on saturdays and I have only next saturday left to do the rest of the stuff (the saturday after that I will be on my way back hom from New York and another saturday later I will already be in Mexico - but Mexico city not Playa). I guess I need to bring my biggest suitcase...

Wowza Andrea !! That's Awesome !! you've got a great trip planned !!

Looking forward to meeting you in person. I figure it would be a good idea to just pack the heavy stuff in my suitcase and do the light stuff in a disposable carry -on (like those plastic woven beach bag thingy)... that way I can donate the items and then use the bag for later purposes.

Oh, I was showing this forum to my best friend Laurie. Her last name is Undernehr (very German)... you two look quite a bit alike. You could be relatives. How cool is that? Laurie will be with me on this trip to help celebrate my 38th b.day, you'll get to meet her at the Peep Meets and Formula1 day.

How many folks do you think we have for the PeepMeet on the 5th? Should I post a sign up list or just show up and wing it?

Debbie, in the other thread the idea came up to relocate the peep meets ot DJ's bar to support his bar as well. What do you think?
