Newbie from New Jersey

Long time lurker first time poster .... Stayed at Secrets Capri in June of 2005 .. Me and the wife took a cab into Playa one night and fell in love with it .... So this year we are staying at The Playa Maya 11/4 to 11/11 ... As many before me has said .. I would like to thank everyone on the board for the world of information that you have left or are more than willing to ofter .........

Welcome, Im from Jersey too. 10 mins from philly. My wife and I were the second couple to check in at Secrets capri when they first opened and we spent half of our honeymoon there.

Welcome to the forum!! Where in NJ are you from? I am from South NJ but I am in Philly right now. But I do return from time to time. After all, it is only across the river, LOL!!!

Up in North Jersey in Morris County ...... And I have crossed that river many times going to my condo in Ocean City Maryland

Hi Tom & Pat,
We've been to Ocean City...really had a good time and liked it a lot BUT I have a feeling Playa is a 'wee' bit better!

Our first time there will be in Janaury.
Have a great trip! We plan to check out the Playa Maya while we're there. Please let us all know how your trip goes and how you liked staying there!

I used to live in Philly at 21st and Arch. I live in Collingswood right now right next to th circle. Ive lived here for a bout nine years. Ive been to Playa 3 times now and this is the first Nov that i Havent made it there in a while.

NP will do ... And no Ocean City Maryland cant compare to Playa but is alot closer lol

Yes it is closer, however the time from PHL to CUN is much shorter. Especially with shore traffic, and US airways has direct flights like twice a day. At least thats how I talked my wife into a house in Playa.I live 45 mins from O.C. NJ (does not compare to Maryland) but with high shore (shoobie) traffic on the AC expressway I'm looking at 2 to 3 hrs. That in my mind is the equivalent to a plane trip at 3.5 hrs to CUN.
Although O.C. is very, very nice.

Believe me I am not comparing the two at all !!!!!! Playa has it all over Ocean City and you think traffic is bad down there come up north some lol at lease your starting in South Jersey ................ That turnpike is a killer up here

Thanks Banzoomba ..... Eastern shore is a nice area ... Was down that way few months back and couldnt believe how it is growing
