I am getting married on the 30th and my new wife and I are coming to Playa. I can't wait. We are staying at the Royal Porto Real. Has anyone ever stayed there? I'm sure it will be amazing. It's a rainy day in Michigan, looking forward to getting sunburn.

Congrats. You'll love the Porto Real. Very upscale hotel. Its in a great location. Right off 5th ave. Get away from the hotel and check out all the local favorites. And don't worry it'll still be raining when you get back so you woun't miss a thing.

Welcome to the forum! Congrats on the upcoming wedding. I am looking to get married next year in Playa as well so please let me know how it all works out for you. I did not stay at RPR but a co-worker of mine did. The hotel they originally booked was terrible when they checked in so their TA got them switched to there. She said it was an amazing place to stay. They already booked to go back in a few months. Please be sure to put up a trip report and some pictures when you return. Enjoy!!!
