I think your new color looks beautiful from your picture! Not only does it work on you, but it looks shiny and healthy.

But I know how you're feeling...2 years ago, on a whim, I "cheated" on my stylist of 15 years and paid my first visit to a very upscale NY city salon. I went in as a very highlighted blonde and, after paying a beautiful Parisian more money than I could even imagine, came out as a redhead. (I am now vacillating somewhere in between color-wise and have continued to go to the Parisian stylist. She was right, I needed a change.)
It was actually disorienting, but with good results- it almost seemed like it sparked big changes in my life, maybe just because it made people see-and treat me differently. It took weeks for me to lose a feeling of shock every time I looked in a mirror.
Hope your new color brings you good things!

Ginger, I have never met you but you look absolutley beautiful now and in all of the pictures I have seen. I started out an Itialian dark, dark, dark brown and now I am very blonde. It's all about fun and attitude. Play with the color for a while. You may end up liking it.

Ginger - We've never met. Though I've read your reports, other threads & seen your photos - ALL of which truely reflect who you are. The comment about how you resemble Catherine Zeta Jones is SO true. Also Gretch Wilson...
My wife has very curley blonde hair with a slight touch of strawberry (ok...red). On a whim she went the whole nine yards and went red - Bernette Peters red. WOW - what a change... It took here a while to adjust to the difference also.
Long story short - she (we) had a blast while she was "Red". She took on a slightly different persona. I think someone said your dark hair made you look "sultry"... Have fun with it. Be Ginger's "off-center" twin...
You can always change the wrapping paper, it's the gift inside that's important!

I've been seeing the same stylist for years. I'm not fussy about much in life, but I AM fussy about my hair. So I don't usually trust anyone else....but I had a fundraiser to go to last night where some of my prints were being auctioned off and I wanted my hair done before I went, so I decided to let another stylist do the whole deal.
That's what I did. I went to one stylist (actually she was an owner of the salon), a younger person (anyway, younger than me, but then who isn't). I went to her for about 6 years and I was never happy when I got home. She never cut my hair even whether it was just bangs or the whole thing. I almost always had to cut myself after I got home. How can you screw up hair that is one length? So I went somewhere else a few months ago and so far I like the person I am going to. The real challenge will be when I get my new style/color/highlights done in October! I'm nervous because I want it to look decent for my son's wedding end of October. I will keep my fingers crossed. But just the same your hair is totally beautiful. I wish I had hair like that! I don't think it would matter what color your hair is, it would look GOOD!

The color looks great! It's already dyed you might as well let it "grow" on you. Once you get used to it, I think that you will like it.

It will lighten up some very soon, but I think it looks great on you.
I color mine every 8 weeks and it always looks so dark the first week, but then I really love it after it lightens.
I also LOVE the cut!

After having my hair highlighted/colored for the last 5 yrs. I got tired of the upkeep and just went back to my own almost-black natural color. The kids(esp. the girls, who are both blond, and only know me w/highlighted, light hair)said "what did you do to your hair?" I like it, and I did semi-perm so it'll wash out soon and then if I want I'll do it permanently. Last Dec.(2 days B4 Christmas) I got almost a foot of hair cut-off! It's shorter in back and angles down on the sides.....I LOVE IT! Of course, DH likes long and lighter. Hmmmmmmmm....I did tell him that dark hair is a form of rebellion!
You look great Leasa! I love it, and it's only hair. it'll grow back. you can color it back, etc.......
