I am afraid Small Town America was in big trouble prior to Sam Walton's heirs coming to town...it went away with suburbia and the loss of small farms.

Walmart and Starbucks etc, etc, etc, are not the disease. They're a symptom. Get over it.....it's not going away.

Ain't that the truth....life isn't a Normal Rockwell painting any longer- thank goodness for that too, in a lot of ways.

I love Starbucks. But, the fact that it's going to be in PDC disappoints me. I made my kids boycott McDonalds when we were there (or was that Cozumel?). So, I guess I'll play fair and not go to Starbucks until I get back home. I can last 1 week without. Boy, can anything stay somewhat remote and non-commercialized?

aaaahhhhhhhh, can't wait to have a mocha frap. on the beach. I am addicted, we get a starbucks card from the boss at work so everyday it's something. Love the Pumpkin Spice Latte Limited time offer on that one!

Still haven't heard where it's going to be?

The ad didn't say where it's going to be. My guess is that it will be in Paseo Mall, along with the McDonalds, Carlos and Charlies, Subway, and Johnny Rockets.
