You're most welcome, Zelda!! It's been a while since we shared the bountiful beach at Playa Maya together. We're looking forward to seeing you again and meeting Mr. Zelda, too, of course!

Glad you can make it, Z. How about your travelling companion from last time, Red, was it? She's welcome too.

Wink Brent and his Captain Dave's groupies

Hola!
The link to your party was sent to us from Playa...Brent and Laura and the Winnipeg crew will be joining you. We even did a Mapquest to your address so we know where we're going(off of 10th, 12th, 15th???). We've been doing Playa since the early 90's, or something like that. Our best friend is now living in Playa for the past 2 years but she won't be able to attend, this time(I think it's too cold for her or something). There will be 4 or 6 or 8 or 9 of us....depends on what Saturday night deals us. It's still far, far away. We will update you closer to the day.
Peace and besos!
One of Brent's girls

You'll be welcome. When it comes to Playa Peeps, " Mi casa es su casa". We're easy to find. Off Pembina Highway, behind the Holiday Inn South. Easiest access is off Dowker Ave. Weather-wise, we'll hope for a decent day, so we can spill out onto the patio, but you know Winnipeg in October...roll the dice. Plenty of room on the inside anyway.

How about that, Peeps? Celebrities! (Now...where the Hell can we rent a red carpet?)

We're working on a room. I bid on Priceline last night, but they didn't accept the bid.

At least two of us plan on attending. It will be great fun!

An unashamed "Bump" to keep this around for folks to see.

The "committee" is meeting later today to discuss things on the Fiesta, so we'll likely have more to post afterwards. (Truth be known, the "meeting" is an excuse to get together with Don & Deb and drink some wine, but that's our little secret.)

Any more interested participants/potential attendees?

I don't know if we aspire to that exhalted level of gourmet dining, M'dear, but we'll do the best we can.

Plan fun stuff, 'cause we're going to be there!!!! I just increased my Priceline bid by a mere $1, and we now have a room at the Holiday Inn Winnipeg South for Saturday, October 14. Would this be the same building that the Holiday was in back in 1979? If so, we've stayed there before.

It's going to be fun! Oh, Bumper, so far we don't have anyone coming with us, but PMS have been down in New Ulm this weekend(no doubt drinking some Schell's), so we will mention it to them this week.

If the hotel was about 12 floors high and about 175-200 rooms in 1979, then it's the same one. I know it was built before 1984 'cause we spent our wedding night there. It's almost 'walking distance' from the Bumper's and an easy drive around the corner. Would you like a map?

As Bumper mentioned, we are hauling our Mexican cookbook/recipe collection over there this afternoon to select various yummy munchies with a Mexican flair.

Okay, that's the place. Great! I only remember the restaurant, the pool, and that the fire trucks came to the hotel. That also happened to us in Thunder Bay.

It will be great to see all the Playa Maya peeps from 2006--You, Deb, Zelda!

Fun!

Well, the Fiesta Mexicana Winnipeg Peep Meet committee met.

We had an agenda.

We considered alternatives and potential menu changes.

We had discussions.

We kept minutes.

We had dinner.

We had 6 bottles of wine.

We had liqueurs.

We'll let you know what conclusions we came to....once we read the notes and see what we said....if we can find the entries in the laptop.

Film at 11:00.

(Sure glad I'm not going to work tomorrow.)
