Farouk bath products at Palace resorts.

Can anyone tell me if both shampoo and hair conditioner (not just conditioning shampoo) are supplied in the rooms.
I figure if they are both supplied then that is two less bottles to bring with us.
And this is the year that I am NOT going to bring my hairdryer. Every year I bring it just in case the hairdryer does not work. Never have used my own.
Watch-- this year Murphy's law will be that I should have brought it.
Trying to manage to not pay overweight luggage fees this year.
TimHorton will be so surprised

Hair dryer? I can't believe anyone even goes to the trouble in Playa! It's so hot I can't even begin to imagine using one, but I guess the A/C helps?

Then again, my hair looks like crap all the time.

Heather I have been cursed with the craziest hair in the world. One area at the side in the back is what I call my sheep hair--all wooly. Right next to that is some natural curl. Part of the front and sides are either straight or frizzy depending I swear on the time of day not the humidity.
I have always thought what I should do is just shave it all off but with my luck I would then find out that I have lumps and or bumps on my head.
I NEED my hairdryer

Hair products

I read in recent trip reports on TA that they include shampoo, conditioner, & silk therapy hair serum... good-sized bottles, too! Also the body lotion.
A few things less for ME to pack, too!

Thursdaynext is correct. There is a full size shampoo and a small bottle of conditioner in the room. If you need more, just leave a note asking for more and they will get it for you. Body lotion is also in the room along with a shaving kit and a toothbrush and toothpaste set.

Thanks so much for the information concerning the Farouk products.
Maybe if i can lose a few more ounces (or pounds) in my luggage, then the money I save by not paying overweight luggage fees can go to another spa treatment at Aventura Palace in December

Stayed a ASP September 2-8 and in addition to larger size shampoo, conditioner and serum there was also 2 of each dental kits(brush, tiny paste & mouthwash) and shaving kit (lotion & razor) along with the other usual things...
As far as the spa treatments, the treatments are wonderful & rates are reasonable on all but the massage. I found the $108 for 50 minutes to be ridiculous considering I pay my therapist here in the states only $60. If you really have your heart set on a massage perhaps tie it in with a trip to town and book at Spa Itza. If you do a search on it I am sure you'll see it comes highly recommended!

Thanks knapthyme.

This will be my third trip to Aventura Spa Palace and I have had quite a few
treatments there. I usually do two to three different treatments on the days that TimHorton is either golfing or deep sea fishing.
Can't do the fishing with him because I get seasick standing on the dock and I keep promising him that one day I will try golfing.

As you have already learned the basic toiletries are covered in the rooms. The spa also has toiletries in the showers and at the sinks, shaving cream, razors, hair gel, etc. Best shaves I ever get are at the Spa...I sit in the steam room for about 10-15 minutes and shave immediately after I come out. a quick shower and then a massage of some sort..great way to relax. Our 5th vacation there is less than a month away

If I were you I'd do away with the weight by selecting only a couple of swim suits or bikinis (in your case), the necessary number of undies and jam them all in a daypack.
Next I'd shave the hair and do away with the hours or days (which category do you fall in?) wasted with that ritual. That time could then be effectively invested in the fishing trips with the other half (be it the better half or not). And I wouldn't fret over motion sickness either. Just pack a couple of bottles of Dramamine and Diazepan. What's the Diazepan for you ask? Well you know, any potential side effects from using the mirror.
As for the Dramanine, use it as directed, i.e. take a couple of tablets an hour or less before leaving terra firma. Adding a couple every hour or so while out in that rolling roller coaster.

How would you have fun you ask? Well, grab a fishing pole wit hone hand, a six pack with the other, maybe a Cuban cigar if at all possible, and give wings to your imagination. No big deal I tell ya. Just join in, you've heard of them fishermen tales, how difficult can it really be to invent a few of them? The basic ingredient is pure exageration, right?

At the end of the day you'll have kicked back with the boys, caught quite a few record size fish (fisherman's tale already at work) and you'll be on your way to the spa, where you'll have a chance to refine just a bit more of that manly affinity for fishy stories. Who knows, you may even make it to the Reader's Digest finals. But the best part is the fact that you will have saved all those hours/days by eliminating the hair problem. No need to pay me, it's all pro bono.
