Babes 2 Chili Cookout to benefit DJ Saturday, October 7

Per and Lena, owners of Babe's and Babe's 2, are holding a Chili Cookout to benefit DJ this Saturday, October 7 starting at 7 pm. This will be held at Babe's 2, which is on 5th avenue between 28th and 30th streets. Cost is 50 pesos for a bowl of chili and all drink prices are as normal. All proceeds will go to help with DJ's medical bills.

I'll be there, for sure. Lena's a fantastic cook and I can hardly wait to taste the chili she makes.

What a blast!

The food was great, the party enormous, and once I speak to Per and Lena, I will let you all know what was raised for DJ!

Glad it went well...

Once we figure out who all will be in Playa for Christmas we will have to brainstorm & come up with something we can put together to help....

We'll be drinking at DJ's to help out for sure...

Elmar and I had a great time that evening and got to meet some very nice folks like JEZ (Hey!

), Carlos aka "Papacharly", DaddyB and his wonderful wife Claire. Oh and "Santa Claus".

Connie - there you are hanging out with all my friends! We were planning to go, but my nine month pregnant body said no. The baby will come in about two weeks, so I'm pretty tired and heavy now. Thanks for the wonderful European dark chocolate! Lovely.

I so hoped to see you there but I didn't really expect you to show up

. We hadn't known anybody when the evening started but in the end we got to talk to some people. I kept asking people about Heather because I was sure that she'd be there but I obviously asked the wrong ones...Would have loved to meet here.

Enjoy the rest of the chocolate. I'm sure there isn't much left
