Gran Porto Real, Oct 20th!

Hey everyone.I am new here from Surrey BC, Canada. I am coming to visit Playa Oct 20th, staying at the Gran Porto Real. Anyone else going to be staying there at the same time? Going with a group of 11-15 people, should be great, only concern I heard was the construction. Any new info on that?

we lived in GPR in february this year....well that time it was a lot of construction going on.But it was so soon after Wilma.Are they still going on with that??I dont now....I hope you and your friends have a good time down there... Im soooo jealous

We will be there beining the 20th as well. My sister is getting married there, and family and friends will be staying at the GPR. Just yesterday, I received a e-mail from Dreamdays (that booked us) and they have upgraded us to Royal Porto Real next door for free

. We've stayed at both the RPR and GPR in the past, and loved it, although this is the first time we've done the AI there. From what I heard, as long as you have a junor suite, construction noise shouldn't be a problem. Have a great trip, and maybe we'll see ya there. BTW my cousin that is joining us is from Ontario, Canada.

I agree, we were there in a Jr. suite about 3 weeks ago-NO problems, ready to go back-Have fun!!

We have are going the last week in Feb 07 . Our frist time thier we were in Playa Delcarmen on a cruise last this Feb and seen the Royal and thought we would like it so we booked it. Any suggustions?

I'll be next door at the RPR 21-28th. I plan on making plenty of visits to the Gran as I hear it has a little more going on. Have a great time!

We will be visting GPR for the first time and I can not wait. I have heard both good and bad so, I have decided we will judge it on our own. If it is not a perfect resort oh well we will make the stay perfect. We will be the ones by the pool and or on the beach all the time.

HI all, four of us will be arriving on the 18th-we were there last year and 'survived' Wilma in the Royal ballroom shelter-so looking forward to a 'peaceful' 2 weeks. We hang out under the GPR beach palapas near the bar for the first week then move over to the Royal for next week-anyone want to meet up?

Won't be there but know exactly where you're talking about...my lounge chair there probably still has the indentation from my butt (maybe even some of the left over mango daquiri I kept sloshing on it)

Here's another Q for the people who have visited the GPR... is there a "disco" or anything like that in the resort? What are the happening bars in the resort, to hang out at, at night time?

Leave the GPR and walk to 5th...the bar at GPR is for drinking purposes only (entertainment is not really part of the equation)

The ****** just down the beach really gets going after 11 P.M. at the beach "disco"
