Alltournative tours and a disability
Hello everyone,
After some discussion with Heather, I decided to post my questions and the answers I received to those questions. My family and I are planning a third trip to Playa Del Carmen in June 2007. We wanted to do the zipline tour through Alltournative tours. My husband lost his leg below the knee in a squad car accident 20 years ago. He wears a prosthetic leg but is very active. However because his leg doesn't bend well he can not ride a bicycle or get his leg wet. But he was still interested in doing the zipline with the rest of his family. After Heather contacted Alltournatives they did not see a problem with him doing just the zipline part of the tour. He will ride in the van with the crew on the bicycle part and he can sit and watch us swim . I want to thank Heather for all her help with my questions. I don't know if anyone else on this forum would have a question like this but I wanted to post it just in case it might be helpful to some one else.Egg |

Hola Egg,
I used to work as a tourguide for Alltournative and if u are doing Chikin-Ha ( I assume because u r going to bike) than I don`t see a problem for your husband. He does have to clim some stairs for the large zipline. You are going to really like that tour. If you have any further questions, please ask! Have fun! |
