Right inside the door were these racks of pastry type things with various kinds of meat and cheese in them. Further back there were more racks full of sweet pastries, cakes and such. These things were fantastic! We picked up three different (very large) pastries for the next morning and two drinks and the total was only 23 pesos!

What is the name of this place? Also, can anyone give me the names of some of these pastries (I know one was a spice cake type thing with raisins and one was a long 'sweetbread' with a little ribbon of chocolate through the middle) so that I might know what to look for here in Columbus. There is a large hispanic population here and I'm betting I can find a cool bakery if I only know what to look for.
Sounds like it could be Super Panaderia which is located on Av 5 between Calle 2 y 4. JAH started a thread specifically about Panaderias (bakeries) that might answer some of your questions about the different types and names of the various baked goods... click here.
