I think it's that ganging up mentality when the bigger kids "pick off" the smaller, slower kids... with a serious vendetta...

I think it's part of the lawsuit mentality... enough people have sued school systems that it's just a bunch of CYA from the administration.... Icon made the joke "who can I sue" but there's a lot of truth under that... wonder how much Liability Insurance is for a school district...??

Actually in Connecticut they passed a state law saying that when playing school sports if a team were to really start kicking the u know what out of the opposing team. The coaches of the team that's doing the kicking must take steps to prevent a greater kicking of butt. Or the team managers and coaches would be brought up to the local school committess and forced to write why they allowed this to happen.:

They have Run Rules in baseball in some leagues.

I dunno... if a basketball game score is 37-3, isn't that enough? Do you prove anything further by running the score up even higher?
