If either of my sisters called me or emailed me or anything to tell me my mom was in the hospital and it was urgent and I needed to be there, I wouldn't "check up" on them! And my sisters ARE certifiably nuts! I've never called a hospital to verify that someone was a patient there, unless I wanted to make sure they hadn't been released before I visited them. And calling from a resort in Mexico, of course not! I'd just go.

Unless, as many have mentioned, there was a reason to distrust the info or the source.

Personally, I think I'd just get a gun and shoot her.

When you think about pulling off this "prank", it wouldn't be really that difficult. The sister would know they arrive PDC in the (late) afternoon. She calls the hotel/resort with a frantic message about "mom being in the hospital" just before the arrival time. Here's where she has leverage - don't leave the name of the hospital & don't answer the home or cell phone for a few hours (while she was probably out drinking). While time is ticking away the couple on vacation is going nothing but worrying about mom... It's human nature. If the sister were to call back, all she'd have to say is; (boo-hoo, boo-hoo) The doctor's are't telling me anything. They're running all these tests...(boo-hoo,boo-hoo, sniffle) I'm sooo worried... Anyway, you get the idea. You have to admit - the b!#ch had this planned!!! And "Judge Judy" could get involved!!! I know who's not getting a Christmas card this year

Sounds like a case for "The People's Court". I know Judge Judy was mentioned. (Good one, Karen! ) Could she do this? Maybe Dr. Phil could help and give them another paid vacation.

I don't understand why people think if they are not included in something, nobody can enjoy it. A friend of ours has three kids. Her middle daughter is having a few friends to the house for a sleep over. Nothing big, just wanted to get together with some friends. A mom of a girl in the class found out and called and confronted our friend to see why her daughter wasn't invited.

Apparently the mom did not like the answer because as soon as she hung up the phone she called every mom who had a girl in their grade to let them know our friend was having a few girls over and that their daughter was not invited.

People are nuts and they think the entire world revolves around them. F**K THEM ALL! I hate people like this.

How appalling! Everyone is sooooo concerned about their kids feelings getting hurt or having their little self-esteems broken....parents need to get a life. I'm flabbergasted........
