Haloween Decorations

I just wanted to show off the great job my wife did decorating the house for haloween.

She does a great job every year and this year was no different.

We live so far out in the sticks, we don't get any trick or treaters, so I don't decorate for any holidays except Christmas because that is when everyone is here.
Your decorations look great!!!!

I think Zoom has directions on that. Or Mikey.

I don't know... I'm still in the dark ages with Photobucket. Okay, here are the night shots. I was trying to see if my lights around the tombstones would show up. And I had a dream someone stole the wagon last night!!

Here's the stuffed monster man Ryan made to sit on the front porch and cover up the fog machine... love the pumpkin feet ... this area also has a screaming tombstone and a thunder/lightning effect which the camera obviously could not catch:

Here's my sunbathing-in-Hawaii skeleton... he has a drink, suntan lotion and spray bottle:

This is a monster that Ryan made to hang from a window... but he was too heavy so I threw him in the wagon, on his way to the "cemetery"... we'll work on a lighter weight man later this week:

Here is the wagon on its way to the cemetery, which you can now see by the tombstones:

A close up of the tombstones--I ran a string of C9's on the ground and unscrewed half of them and put pumpkins and skeletons over the other half... it didn't photograph so well, but it looks pretty good:

And a close up of the "warning" in the graveyard:

I used that stiff foamboard and cut them to shape with a knife--very easy to cut... then I just smeared a bunch of random colors--shades of greens, greys, whites and blacks to make different colors of "marble"... then painted the words and cracks... the black flowers were my "bouquet" from my 40th birthday party. They came in handy!

(you can use styrofoam which is thicker and looks a tiny bit better BUT it is harder to make stand up, as it tends to flake away and it's more expensive)

I made the stones while the baby was sleeping... it was either that or watch TV--not too tough of a choice...

and when we decorated, one kid helped, one kid slept and one kid sat in her little chair and watched us, thinking that was the most exciting thing she'd ever seen in her 7 months of living out loud...

it's just all about timing... we say things like "Okay, she just finished nursing... we have about 84 minutes til she's really needy again... GO"
