Yes he was!
I have never been a big Elvis fan....more of a Beatles fan....but here's my Elvis story.Back in the 70's when Elvis was touring he would do an engagement in Mobile, Al. One on the guys working at the hospital was a black belt in Karate and somehow became part of Elvis's security for these shows. He would pick up a bunch of Elvis's autographed pictures and hand them out to some of us at the hospital.....I kept that picture for many, many years and then one Christmas I had it framed and gave it to my niece who happens to be a huge Elvis fan. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

We were thrilled to make a cuddly friend at Xpu-Ha last February. As you can see by the last pic, he was all ready to curl up inside our bag and be brought back to our hotel!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Just so you know, Graceland isn't in the best/safest part of Memphis, however, it is right across the street from Graceland and all of the other Elvis souvenir shops and specialty stores. And I'm sure your car and your valuables would be safe there, but I'd recommend to head elsewhere (as in area, perhaps midtown or downtown) when you go out to eat. |

Michelle: It is nice staying out at the Heartbreak Hotel but I would only do it one night. I doubt that there are any rooms left, to be perfectly honest. Beale Street was really awesome, lots of live music and good bars. There is absolutley nothing to do out near Graceland except, of course, visit our honey boys home! I loved it. |

First of all those gates in front of graceland are alot smaller than you think....Slim kept poking me in the back during the tour because I kept making fun of how tacky the place was decorated. Even the guy behind him said E had no taste. It looked like "poor country boy gets rich". He was also buried near the pool in the back. I wouldn't go swimming in there. The museum part was good and all his cars. I would reccomend taking the tour. I love Beale street and the Rendevous for Ribs can't be missed!
