WOW!!!!! Thanks so much for taking the time to post this report! The pictures are sooo beautiful and inspiring! I am green with envy! Everything looks so wonderful. What a beautiful country.

Did you plan your trip on your own? I am just in awe of your itinerary. Wish I could meet with you someday and hear about your trip in detail. Looks like a trip I would love to take. Thanks so much for sharing!

Jack, you got me all teared up looking at the final installment - what an incredible trip!

The public art in Koln should be an example to the States as to what public art should be...

Breathtakingly beautiful trip!

Thanks so much for sharing

Jacko!

I love all of your pictures! I made it to a couple of those places- the Rhine River tour and Neuschwanstein. Both were gorgeous. That's a shame we weren't able to meet up in Mainz! I can tell y'all had a wonderful time and enjoyed every moment and every beer!

Wow... did you really use Andrea?

Wish I could write German like that. I think it's better than what I could come up with, although I do speak German (somewhat). Writing is the hard part about German, I think...

Vielleicht sollte ich 'du' geschrieben. The thing that troubles me the most is the different cases and verb placement.

A friend of mine went to the Netherlands and she said Dutch was very similar to German. She was able to understand, albeit not speak, most of what was spoken.

In quite a few ways, Dutch is pretty similar to German, which sometimes makes it all the harder to speak German correctly. Being Dutch, one tends to Germanize Dutch words...

Nick, of course you can say 'Du' to me! I'm hardly used to 'Sie' as most of my co-workera call me 'Du' as well (even some I've never seen or talked to before). So, no problem. 'Sie' is very formal and on Playa.info we are not formal at all...

Andrea

I am at peace....this may soon become...."The German thread" what with all this German-speak .....but watch yourself, Nick............. (just because she said you could use "du" does NOT mean you can take advantage of this sweet woman.....)

That sausage looked gnarly. Who the hell eats a sausage that big?

Great pics, I really hope to go there some day. Thank you.
